[Routine Help] When you guys apply creams to your face, do you dab little circles on your face and rub them in OR rub it over your hands and then over your face

hey guys, so i was applying sunscreen when my mom told me how slowly i apply it. i take a good size amount on a finger, and then tap it over my face so there's a good amount of sunscreen on each area (think forehead, nose, cheeks, chin) and then rub it in. on the other hand, my mom rubs products over her hand and then rubs it in. how do you guys apply products, and is there a benefit to applying it a certain way?
