[acne] Organic Milk made all the difference for clearing my mystery acne...

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'm 40 with oily to normal skin. I have always had breakouts on my face to some degree my whole life. Never really on my chest or back. After all these years of trial and error, I managed to get my face to almost completely clear with a lot of help from my prescription of spironolactone, which made an immediate difference in reducing the oil and pimples on my forehead. That's my drug of choice now!But for some reason, in the last three years, my "breakout zone" shifted down to my neck and chest. I mean, BAD. I just went three summers in a row where I literally didn't wear anything that exposed my chest and invested in lots of chiffon scarves. It's a terrible thing to not be able to enjoy a summer dress properly. Tube tops and strapless? forget it. All I would get is questions and stares. The breakouts were terrible lingerers, too. A seemingly small and insignificant zit that you would expect to clear in a week or two of popping it with no real struggle, would instead turn into the red, crusty menace that would take MONTHS to totally heal and fade. They itched at the start, and felt deeper than a simple pimple. I often counted 20-30 breakouts on average at one time. The doctor didn't really help beyond the spironolactone, and I was at my wits end, not wanting to spend a fourth summer covering up and uncomfortable.A friend happened to say something about switching to organic milk, creamer and yogurt (I love greek yogurt and was OD'ing on it at the time) because of all the hormones they use on cows to get them to produce more milk. I had originally committed to organic milk when they first started offering it in stores 5-10 years ago, but switched back to the regular because of price. So I made the switch to products that specifically said "organic" on them (harder to find with the yogurts) and watched as my chest immediately cleared and the constant cycle of breakouts cease completely. It's been 4 months since I made the switch back to organic milk and yogurt and it simply went away and doesn't seem to be coming back, when before it was a never ending cycle.I had heard that dairy is to blame for acne, and I love my diary so I didn't want to believe it. I don't eat tons of cheese, so I can't say if organic makes a difference there too, or if the process of making cheese somehow negates the hormonal effect in cheese? I can't speak on that. But for me, it turns out that dairy in general is not the problem, it's the hormones in dairy. Thank goodness I can still enjoy my diary!
