[Misc] Youtube Dermatologist Dr Dray seems to suggest that any moisturizing step such as serums/lotions are at best ineffective compared to a normal moisturiser and at worst layering is a way for companies to try to sell more products. Thoughts?

I was watching one of her videos, reviewing Stratia Liquid Gold and she is quite blunt in her criticisms concerning the product - that it's too watery (liquid gold...?). says 'I have no problem with it it has good ingredients' and then bashes it as a waste in the next sentence. The main point was she seems to be saying serums, lotions etc. and anything not a moisturizer.She responds to comments concerning it not being a straight moisturizer with;that is using two products, wheras using one less watery version will achieve the same purpose, with less cashthe "layering of steps" is a great way to sell 10 different bottles of stuff, that could be achieved in one bottleyes the layering of steps is a brilliant way to sell bottlesYet has recommended separate humectant and occlusive moisturizers and pushes very specific products. I can understand she looks at skincare through the scope of a dermatologist and that unless something has clinical and multiple scientific studies backing it she doesn't place much value on it, though without people testing things and good results said studies will never happen.So, after a few of her controversial comments on salicylic acid and Vit. C, what is SCA's take?On a side note is that her followers do seem somewhat dogmatic and bashing of other products if Dr Dray doesn't like them, in the comments people are saying 'thank God I've never heard of it' and she responds with smiley emojis and then circlejerking about vanicream. Always find this kind of thing odd.
