[Misc] this might sound like a stupid question but am I supposed to put eye cream on my eyelids?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Ok so I'm kind of ashamed to ask this cause it's probably a really dumb question but I don't use an eye cream and since most hydrating products for your face specifically say "avoid eye area" I was wondering what is safe to put on your eyelids?Mine sometimes feel like they need a little love so maybe I should get an eye cream even though I don't have bags and use it on the upper part instead! Also if you have any product recommendations those would be very appreciated :)

[Acne] Is it finally time to throw in the towel? (Shorter Version)

Beauty Tips For Body Care
This is the shorter version. If you want ALL of the details you can find the long version here with weekly progress photos.Hey guys I just thought I’d ask your input because I am at a crossroads. I’m currently on Tazorac 0.05% and have been for the past ~8 months. You can see my first post about taking my skincare seriously here. In that post I talked about how Curology's formulation (0.04% tretinoin, 1% clindamycin, 7% azelaic acid) worked for me briefly before it began getting too costly and my acne progress began to plateau. My goal was to essentially emulate my formulation because it was one of the first few times my skin truly cleared up (at least for a little while before my skin got bad again). After that post I decided to begin taking progress pictures every week to track how my skin was doing because I know how easy it is to forget how much your skin changes.I started with a normal routine of a gentle cleanser (Vanicream), then followed with the Tazorac, and moisturized with CeraVe's PM Moisturizer.First weekAfter about a month I decided to add in The Ordinary's Azelaic Acid 10%. (I want to note that prior to all of this I had gone an entire summer using The Ordinary's Azelaic Acid 10% as my main ingredient to test it's effects on my skin. Like the Curology, my skin essentially cleared up and as time progressed my skin began to breakout really badly again).Once again, my skin began to clear up. Now this is where it gets tricky. After browsing this subreddit and r/tretinoin, I knew that retinoids tend to take a long time to take effect. So I was left with the question, which one was fixing my skin?So naturally, in true scientific methodology, I decided to isolate a variable. I once again took Azelaic Acid out of my routine and relied solely on Tazorac as my main ingredient. Keep in mind throughout the entirety of this post and these pictures that I am using Tazorac. Surprisingly, after getting rid of Azelaic Acid, I breakout pretty bad. Regardless, I continued this for 4 months just to be certain. After that I decided reintroduce AZ to try Melazepam 20%. My forehead is essentially clear with the occasional pimple, but my cheeks still breakout a little.Clear SkinBad Acne on just TazoracPresent Day with MelazepamThis leads me to present day. I have a dermatologist appointment for tomorrow. I am thinking about requesting the Finance Gel 20% because I had read that gel is 8x easier to absorb than cream (Source: here) and Melazepam's gel has a really odd texture. Essentially, I have come to the conclusion that Finascea is at the peak of AZ. What I am wary about is whether I should even request it or if I should just go on Accutane. My dermatologist has been trying to put me on it for the longest time and today after requesting a prescription of Finascea, they warned me that Finascea wasn't that strong and that I should come in so "we can discuss what we really want to do going forward".

[Routine Help] Sunscreen recommendations for brown skin with no smell please!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey all! I currently use the Neutrogena Clear Face SPF 55 on my face. I’ve been looking for alternatives cause this one stings like a bitch (especially cause I’m currently on Tretinoin) AND also cause my boyfriend HATES how this one smells so much. I’ve looked past the stinging for a while now and used this sunscreen cause I’m always scared of introducing something new (I have very sensitive acne prone skin) but it’s def time to find something new (hopefully, just as affordable - cause I through atleast 1 bottle each month cause of Tret and just as non-comedogenic).Do you guys have any recommendations for a sunscreen for acne prone skin? I’m dark skinned (NC44 in the summer) so I need something that doesn’t leave a cast either. Any recommendations are much appreciated!

[Acne] In defence of Mirena

Beauty Tips For Body Care
This may be premature, and I'll update if anything changes, but I just wanted to share my experience with the Mirena IUD. I came here to look for advice before getting one inserted and saw mostly bad things, so I thought I'd bring some balance to the mix!I had the Mirena inserted ~2 months ago. I was super nervous as I'd just had my skin get to a good place after many years of trying different things. I had no active spots and was working on the scarring. Before the Mirena I had a copper coil, so no hormones at all.Pretty much the day after getting it I had a new spot on my chin, and more followed in the next few weeks. But they didn't stick around! I continued my routine as normal and everything has totally cleared up now, without much sign of returning. There are lots of horror stories about Mirena, and that may be the case for some people. But for others, it's a temporary issue that clears up once your body gets used to the hormones.

[Product Question] Best in-shower moisturizer?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I've tried in-shower/rinse off moisturizers before and haven't been very impressed, but was recently gifted Olay's "Rinse-Off Body Conditioner" and have to say it's much better than whatever I've tried in the past. It leaves my skin soft and scented, but I'm not sure if there are better options out there.I tried searching the internet a bit to see what other people recommended, but all I got were top 10 lists with affiliate links, so I thought I'd see if Reddit had any preferences instead. :)TIA!

[Sun care] I feel so dumb asking this, but do you wear your sunscreen if you aren't really outside? If so, how?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I don't even know if my title makes senseI am asking bc I'm getting older, want good protection, and my dad has been getting a few precancerous spots removed.I use CeraVe daily lotion with SPF 30 every morning. If it's an in-person work day, I also usually have on a mineral foundation with SPF 15. I'm only outside on my walk to and from my car. The rest of the week, I'm working from home and would normally only go out to grab the mail or trash. If I know I'm going to be spending time outside (beach, hike, soccer momming), I'll smear on sunblock. But am I missing something? Are people putting a layer of like Neutrogena sunscreen on after moisturizer but before makeup? Are you doing it even when you're not really outside? Doesn't it make your face tacky underneath makeup?

[Sun Care] Transfer proof mineral sunscreens?

[Skin Concerns] Boyfriend and I both uncharacteristically breaking out at the same time?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey guys! Looking for some advice or ideas as to what could be causing my boyfriend and I to both suddenly and uncharacteristically break out.My guess is that it is something environmental since it is happening to us both at the same time. We changed all of our linens out since this started happening, but we wash our bedding typically once a week regardless. We also haven’t changed our diet (quite healthy, low in dairy and added sugar) or our skincare routine. We both use the basic cerave foaming cleanser and a cetaphil facial moisturizer; we use a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment for the occasional zit. We started using the benzoyl peroxide more regularly and a prescription dapsone topical to treat the current breakout, but it seems to help only temporarily and doesn’t seem to address the root issue.Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas as to what may be triggering it? I made an appointment with a derm to see what they suggest, but if it’s something we can try to eliminate and go back to normal, I’d greatly prefer that!Thank you for any suggestions to try out!

[Miscellaneous] Is a lower SPF less likely to cause breakouts?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Been on a long, 4+ year hunt for sunscreen. Everything breaks me out. Mineral, chemical, you name it. Recently the Inkey List Mineral SPF broke me out - not a clue why as the ingredients list looked really lovely, almost perfect!!!I’ve always opted for SPF30+ but is there a chance SPF15 is less likely to break me out. Before people come for me, using SPF15 I know is not ideal, but I’m literally not able to wear any at the minute and haven’t done for years. Low SPF is better than no SPF I’m that desperate.I’m in the UK and looking at the Ordinary Mineral SPF15. Will the lower rating give my skin more chance of tolerating it?

[Acne] FINALLY found out Herbal Essences Chamomile Shampoo was causing my acne!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'm pretty happy that I figured this out! I gradually started getting whiteheads & acne on my chin & sides of face and attributed it to hormones.I was in the process of trying out the Herbal Essences Chamomile Shampoo for the past 2 months. Little did I know it was the culprit of my chin & cheek acne. To test, I switched back to my original Pantene Advanced Care shampoo and conditioner and voila! The acne subsided in 1 day and no more new whitehead bumps/pustules.The sad part about this is I was trying out new shampoos and conditioners to find a better replacement for the Pantene ones I was using because it causes dry flakes & oiliness :(Does anyone have shampoo & conditioner recs? For now, I'm settling for oily, flaky scalp over acne but I do want a better hair care routine.

[Skin Concerns] Need tips on fading old KP scars :(

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I have KP and after many, many years, I’ve finally gotten it to a point where it’s (mostly) managed. While the actual KP isn’t as prominent, I have a lot of scarring left on the back of my arms and the sides of my calves which makes it look so much worse than it actually is. I’m also South Asian and have always been prone to hyperpigmentation so the scars really stick out. I’ve been exfoliating and using AmLactin for about a year and a half now which has supremely helped with reducing and preventing the KP, but hasn’t really made a difference with the scarring. I’m pretty happy with my KP routine so I’m not really looking for something related to that, just the scarring (if that makes sense).I don’t expect the scars to completely go away, but I would really appreciate product/routine suggestions for fading them a bit.

[Misc] You only need three products for flawless skin, apparently.

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I met my good friend’s new girlfriend the other night (gotta love the vaccine). She’s sweet and GORGEOUS, with the most perfect skin I’ve ever seen. Seriously, she looks airbrushed with zero makeup on. I don’t remember exactly how the conversation turned to skincare at one point, but this girl looks me dead in the eye and says “you have nice skin, but you’re using too many products. As a [first year] pharmacy student, I can tell you all you need is a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cleaner, generic moisturizer, and sunscreen for perfect skin.”I was so put off. I’ve worked very hard to get my skin where it’s at (chemical exfoliation products are my HG) and my body acne has required so much more than 3 basic products. Not to mention that I have dry skin in the winter and use serums to help hydrate, or that I use a retinol to help with my fine lines. It really bothers me that people can be so pretentious about skincare, and seem to know what’s best for EVERYONE because they’ve never had to struggle with their skin before. Moral of the story: skin care is like health care, it’s no ones business but yours and your doctors (or dermatologist).

I just tried the Isle of Paradide drops last night, but typically use the Timeless Vitamin C in the morning.I’m afraid the Vitamin C might react with the DHA or another pigment in the drops to make my face tan a weird colour/blotchy! Can anyone tell me if this is safe/if they’ve done this before and had any problems?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'm looking for a vitamin c serum to add to my routine. So far I've only tried the Sephora brand vitamin c + e, I think it's working but I also think it's burning my skin. Can anyone make a different recommendation? Or is this normal? I'm new to serums

[Misc] What not to mix

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I have read and learned a lot from this sub, but have also felt a little overwhelmed. I remember reading not to use some products concurrently. I think it was something along the lines of don’t use retinoids followed by [???] or it will damage your skin. Or you have to wear sunscreen after using a BHA. Can someone make a simple list of what to do/what not to do or mix? Some of this stuff isn’t immediately obvious or mentioned on product labels. I just want to make sure I’m not doing more harm than good.

[acne] I've neglected acne breakouts on my back for years and now they've left marks all over my back. I want to start some skin care routines to fix it. But is it fixable at this point?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Here's an image of my back for reference: https://imgur.com/a/JavosgLI am a male (21). So, the title says it all. I've been getting acne on my back for the past 3-4 years. It started from my shoulders but it's all over my back now. Seriously regretting the fact that I neglected it.Is it fixable at this point? If yes, where should I start?I've learnt from this sub that benzoyl peroxide helps in reducing hyperpigmentation. Should I just get it and rub it all over my back? Also, since the skin on my back isn't as sensitive as my face, is there any other solution for such a situation?Looking forward to your advice!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Very curious about how these interact. I'm realllyyyyy pale (Scandinavian skin + Immunosuppressants).Do snail/Vitamin C/Niancinamide etc remove self tanners? How do they interact? The ones I've used have been oils you add to your moisturisers but if they're oil based how would they work with say oil cleansing?Retinoids and exfoliation? really curious to hear how things interactThanks everyone! [Sun Care] daily hydrating body/hand lotion with SPF that will also help shield deep scars from sun.

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Good morning! I had a surgery in April 2020 that left me with scars on the top of my hand and a deep 3" scar on my outer forearm (close to wrist). I apply lotion on my hands religiously bc they get really dry but applying sunscreen on top of lotion every single day is an extra step that my Adhd brain struggles with (unless going to the pool/lake/beach). So I'm looking for a good hand/body lotion with spf that I can use daily that I can also use to shield the sun from my deep scar (the incision was all the way to the bone so it's a solid scar, lol). side note: this is not what I'll be using at the beach/pool or when spending hours in the sun. Just an everyday sunscreen lotion.I have used eucerin but it's not my favorite as far as hydration goes and it's only spf 15.thank you in advance!

[routine help] Thoughts on routine? Still tweaking..

Beauty Tips For Body Care
AM: 1) CLEANSER (Currently rotating through a few simple cleansers until I run out of the many bottles I have. Twice a week or so I use a gentle exfoliating cleanser.) 2) TONER - Thayer’s Witch Hazel w Aloe Vera 3) SERUM - Timeless 20% Vit C + E Ferulic 4) SUNSCREEN - Neutrogena Ultra-Sheer SPF (used to do a moisturizer underneath but I’m finding using both is making me feel too greasy.)PM: 1) CLEANSER - same as above 2) TONER - same as above 3) SERUM - finishing something else up but I plan on alternating between BellEvolve Lac-Luronic Serum (that is supposedly a decent alternative to Sunday Riley Good Genes) and a light retinol serum (most likely from Cerave) 4) MOISTURIZER - Supermood Beauty Sleep (with Sea Fennel Stem Cell)

[routine help] Need a good moisturizer for dry skin ASAP :(

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I need to find a moisturizer that is great for dry skin, and is lightweight. My number one concern is blackheads and how flaky my skin is.I’m currently using Curology’s moisturizer and it’s the first one I’ve actually really liked. The only problem: the serum and face wash was making my skin worse and even more dry so I stopped using that and went back to CeraVe and Cetaphil. So I need to find a replacement as I’ll probably be running out within a week :( I’ve had issues in the past of moisturizers clogging pores or being too heavy and making my face feel sticky.I appreciate any feedback and suggestions!! <3

[Personal] I visited Sephora today and the skin care expert / salesperson was simultaneously so helpful and also made me feel like complete crap so I just want to rant about it

Beauty Tips For Body Care
After scrapping my too complicated skincare regimen from last year, I am finally at the point where I have three solid products that I use consistently and seem to work for me, so I was ready to add in another and start targeting my hyperpigmentation.First time physically shopping in ages (got that second shot yo!) and I wanted to stop into Sephora with the sole purpose of finding a vitamin c to add to my routine. She saw me looking, came up and told me her credentials etc etc and was pretty assertive in that general salesperson way, but I was genuinely looking for some recommendations so whatever. The basic gist of the story is she was trying to steer me away from getting a vitamin c and instead get an exfoliate because vitamin c wouldn’t absorb on top of dead skin. My issue was that she didn’t recommend me multiple options, just one that she kept raving about, so it made the conversation feel less about helping me and more about selling to me.Looking back, there are multiple points in the convo that really bother me, but I wanted to hone in on a few that are especially problematic/ frustrating. After she asked me my current routine was AGHAST that I use cerave as my cleanser. “I can recommend you 100 products that are 1000 times better that that but whatever you want”asking if my doctor okayed that cleanser when I was prescribed tretinoin and then saying that most dermatologists just okay the same two or three cleansers because it’s easyAfter getting me to try a moisturizer I told her it was nice but I was happy with mine and also didn’t want to spend $70 every time I needed to replace it, she said “well just to let you know the average price point in Sephora is about $60”There are definitely more instances but this is already getting too long anyway. To me the whole thing came off as so pretentious, like skin care is an elite club. BUT SHIT it was so annoying because I totally do need an exfoliant (I say as I stare at flaking skin on my face from my tret use...)Everyone is different. I’ve struggled so much with my skin in the last few years and I hate feeling like crap because I don’t want to change up the one freaking product I’ve found that works for me, despite it being something I can pick up at the drug store. But also, thank you obnoxious salesperson because you’re probably right. I can’t start fading these stubborn dark spots until I slough off all this extra crap on my face.

[Skin Concerns] I'm severely depressed over the state of my skin

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I’m only 27 years old and I look like I’m 45. I suffered from horrible acne when I was growing up which led to scarring on just about every inch of my face, and still get breakouts as an adult. In addition I have huge pores and DEEP crow’s feet that reach damn-near halfway down my face when I smile, and so I try not to for fear it will make it worse. I never go outside anymore because I’m extremely embarrassed and don’t want to be seen. I refuse to take pictures of myself or to be in pictures because it will make me cry. I have no idea how or why this has happened to me or what the actual problem is, let alone what I can do about it. I think it’s beyond saving at this point. Right now I’m on a skincare regimen of using an exfoliant, followed by a rosewater/witchhazel toner and a retinol moisturizer. Nothing seems to work. I’ve thrown more money than I should have into trying to undo the damage, to no avail.I feel like this is no life to be living, and I don’t know if there’s anything I can do.

[Misc]Have been on Accutane for 2 months, and more than my skin, I'm loving what its doing to my hair*.

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I have really fine hair and a little thin towards the front as well. Most of the times, I'd wash them in the morning and by the evening or the next morning they'll start getting oily and goopy. Since Accutane, I've been washing them maybe twice a week, and they continue being bouncy, full, fresh and shiny. I now have the hair that I always wanted!!Its doing great for my skin, but I'm seeing a faster change in my hair. Does anyone know, how can I sustain this hair post accutane?*I know this sub is for skincare, but I'm confused where to post since Accutane is for skin, but this "side effect" is for hair and I'm loving it.

[Acne] DAE get small pimples on their lip-line which turn into what suspiciously looks like a cold sore but isn't?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I've had a couple of these now. Had a very clear small pimple on my lipline which had a defined pop-able head to it, naturally I left it alone and it went and formed into one of the usual red lumps during the healing phase where it either pops on it's own or just 'goes away'.Then for the second time, I've woken up and it looks like it's spread a little and formed a few little bumps/swollen areas along my lip. The area is tingly like a coldsore, especially at night, but I just find it so strange that a confirmed pimple can cause a coldsore in the next few days in the same area.Has anyone ever had something similar to this? The last time I had one I thought it was a coldsore so I applied the usual compeed patches, but after a few days it just went and never scabbed or turned back into a pimple!

[Routine Help] Retinol is making my life difficult

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey guys!I have searched all night for answers on the internet but couldn't find anything that would help me answer my questions. So I thought maybe some of you could help me.As the title says: Retinol is making my life difficult. I use the 0.2% Retinol in Squaline from The Ordinary and my skin was fine in the beginning. I've been using it for 2 weeks every day and my skin is just terrible. It's super dry, super sensitive and applying the mildest products is making it itchy and super red. I've been using Aloe Vera Gel as a moisturizer and applying it now stings and hurts and makes my skin red (and I have big problems with redness in general). I have to mix a tiny amount with the sunscreen now (which is the only thing that doesn't burn when applied). Applying any product makes my skin feel so bad. It also looks way worse. I knew I had to expect breakouts and dryer skin (which both happend) but I didn't know it would make my skin so extremely sensitive and bad. My pores are as big as always, if not bigger and my acne scars are way more visible than usual. I've heard about all the beautiful things retinol can do to your skin but it just seems to make my skin worse the more I use it. I even developed a rash on my left eyelid. My routine is the following:A.M: 1. Washing face with water 2. Hyaluronic acid (TO) 3. Sunscreen (La Roche Posay Athelios 50 SPF) mixed with Aloe Vera GelP.M 1. Wash face in the shower 2. Retinol in Squaline (0.2% TO) 3. Rosehip Seed Oil (also from TO)So here are my questions:I have combination skin that is really sensitive. Do you guys have any good moisturizers (without fragrance!!) for the retinol "ugly" phase that I can apply before applying retinol?Do I apply rosehip seed oil before or after applying retinol? (Or any other oil)I also can't use a moisturizer during the day because no matter what I used it would leave my skin greasy and wouldn't sink into my skin. Would you recommend mixing the aloe vera gel with the sunscreen or should I just use the sunscreen on its own?Can I use azelic acid during the day if I apply retinol in the evening or should I refrain from doing that?is it normal for skin to show a reaction to retinol with such a delay? How long does my skin need to get used to using retinol?if my skin reacted that badly to just 0.2% and let's say my skin adjusts to that... should I update to 0.5% or should I leave it as it is?I live in Germany so do you know any good European or International products to tackle this problem?Also- please don't recommend any products with niacinamide, my skin really hates it.Thank you for your help!

Everything I've read on here is about what to do with your face. What about the rest of the body? Surely we should be doing something, right? I know when I'm looking at an older person from behind (i.e. can't see their face) I can probably tell what decade they're in just by the skin of their neck/arms/legs. [Routine Help] Alternating BHA's AHA's and azelaic acid question

Hello! I was just wondering if my current exfoliation routine is too much. My skin is the best its been in a long long time, but for the long run I don't want to be doing anything that isn't recommended.Skintype: Acne-prone combination. So I am currently using the ordinary 10% lactic acid, the ordinary azelaic acid suspension, and the paulas choice 2% bha. I alternate the bha and the lactic acid every other day and on days in-between I use the azelaic acid. for example, monday - paulas choice bhatuesday - azelaic acid suspensionwednesday - 10% lactic acidand so on and so forth. sometimes i skip a lactic acid or bha night for an extra azelaic acid night to give my skin a break. is this fine to do? am i over doing it on the exfoliators? thanks for any help!

[personal] feels like my barrier repair is taking forever..

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi skincare fam,I’m now on week three of my barrier repair and I tried to go sans Vaseline yesterday thinking my skin was feeling better. Long story short, it dried up so quick and just felt icky still. It’s the tightness that’s making it so uncomfortable - but with Vaseline it feels completely fine.Curious if this is normal or how long your barrier repair took? Thanks!

[Misc] Skin too dry for makeup?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I have dry skin and whenever I apply concealer it looks super cakey and dry. I've tried different methods of applying, different products, but nothing works. I asked on another sub-reddit and was told to come here. My current skincare routine consists of a water gel cleanser, a witch hazel toner, facial oil, moisturiser, eye cream and exfoliating once a week. Is there anything I can do to fix my problems with makeup?

[skin concern] worst breakout of my life, won't go away

Beauty Tips For Body Care
so i know there's not much i can do except wait and take care of my skin, but due to stress I've had a breakout that's lasted for weeks now, and it seems to only be getting worse. I'm breaking out in places I've never broken out before, and the pimples are open and festering and (yes) oozing pus. I've been using an ungodly amount of pimple patches but it seems like the shit just keeps coming out and the pimple never gets smaller. i haven't used any sort of exfoliant or retinol since the breakout because i thought that might make it worse, but would i benefit from using an exfoliant? I have paula's choice BHA exfoliant but would putting that on open pimples possibly make them worse or spread them? should i use benzyl peroxide? sorry for all the questions lol i have no idea what to do with my skin right now and it's making me depressed

[Misc] Skincare routine for Child?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hopefully this isn’t too weird, but I would like some help creating a faux “skincare routine” for my 4.5 year old son. Before you guys think I’m appalling, let me explain. My son loves copying what I do during the day. I’ve been a SAHM his entire life, and that’s pretty much how it goes. I love my skin care and makeup, and it’s impossible to not do those things in front of him. Now he is interested in joining me when I wash my face but there is no way I would EVER put any products on his skin, especially mine. While I do use some mild cleansers, most of my routine consists of products meant to target more stubborn set backs like hyperpigmentation, breakouts, and rough texture. Not exactly something I want to share with him. When I speak about all the “magic stuff” I put on my face, I have always been careful not to use language that implies that my skin is “bad”, “ugly”, or needs to be fixed, so it’s kinda solidified in his head that this is something that he can also partake in. And honestly I don’t mind that.My question is, can anyone recommend and super super mild soap or cleanser that would be safe for a 4.5 year old to put on his face? A moisturizer? Or a fun way where I can fake a routine? I was thinking of getting some dropper bottles and maybe just filling them with something safe/water since the droppers are almost his favorite part. If it helps, my son is pretty fair skinned and easily turns red in the cheeks when hot or excited.TLDR: help me come up with a faux skincare routine that I can share with my 4.5 year old son so he feels included in my day to day routines.

[Review] La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Hand Cream is the most plumping cream I’ve used on my face

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I’ve tried many creams and hydrating serums/toners over the years, but consistently the best one at plumping and hydrating and overall being a sponge to water has not been a face or body product but a hand cream. The LRP Cicaplast hand cream absorbs water like crazy (probably because of the 30% glycerin), plumping up the skin instantly (especially if you apply it to wet skin). It’s also got 4% niacinamide, as well as shea butter and dimethicone to complete the cream (so it’s not just a humectant-style product). It works fine alone but I like to layer another cream on top overnight to really pack in that moisture in my dry climate, my favorite combo with it being Eucerin Eczema Relief Body Cream.Because it’s made for the hands, it seems to be formulated to not be too greasy or tacky as well.(I’ve heard people say similar things about using the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream on the face, which also has high percentage glycerin—I think 40%.)INGREDIENTS: AQUA/ WATER ∙ GLYCERIN ∙ BUTYLENE GLYCOL ∙ CETEARYL ALCOHOL ∙ NIACINAMIDE ∙ GLYCERYL STEARATE ∙ BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER / SHEA BUTTER ∙ DIMETHICONE ∙ PEG / PPG-18/18 DIMETHICONE ∙ GLYCERYL STEARATE SE ∙ SODIUM POLYACRYLATE ∙ CAPRYLYL GLYCOL ∙ PHENOXYETHANOL

[Sun Care] Ultra Violette is Shipping to the USA (and Many Other Countries) via Belameres!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hello everyone! I live in the United States but I have been very interested in trying Ultra Violette sunscreens for some time now, and a kind user on here informed me that Ultra Violette sunscreens can be shipped to the USA and many international countries via Belameres, an Australian spa. After messaging the owner, I took a chance and ordered Lean Screen on 03/30 and it arrived today (I live in New Jersey). Patience is key, but I can confirm that both the retailer and shipping service, Sendle, are reliable and legitimate! Please note that the currency is expressed in AUD, and shipping cost me around $15 USD. They also carry both 50 mL and 75 mL tubes! If you're interested in purchasing Ultra Violette sunscreen from Belameres, here is their website: https://www.belameres.com/collections/sun-carehttps://preview.redd.it/wd3bdu62e6v61.jpg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=36003e610dcd5866bd8308f7e573b40b9d58290f

[SUN CARE] p20 kids, not so greasy so far!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
This is my first post, so apologies for any violations! I just bought and tested the P20 kids, notorious for being both one of the most protective sunscreens in existence, and greasier than a piece of sweaty cheese. I can happily report that I didnt find the latter.I was extremely relieved because all of the reddit posts I read about it after I (impulsively) bought it, were centered around discussions about whether it was greasier/less greasy than mashing your face into a plate of chips. Consensus was more greasy. So I was understandablly concerned. For background, I have dry-ish, non-acne prone skin with pretty sensitive eyes. I am fitzpatrick I/II. I applied the sunscreen directly after a hydrating skin routine with no moisturiser. Several people suggested this bc the sunscreen is very occlusive. This worked well. Throughout the day I didnt become greasy. The temperature was about 15 degrees celsius and sunny, but I feel like it will stand up to much higher temps. The humidity was low. Im not sure how it would stand up to higher humidity honestly. If you are in a very sticky environment it might feel oppressive. Its alcohol free, so thats a plus and minus when considering humidity. My skin cant tolerate alcohol so I dont have any choice.I was told that one pump is exactly enough for face and neck by design. Totally disagree. Maybe a 'kids' face and neck? I used 2.5 pumps. Is this in the marketing? It was not that hard to gently smooth that into the skin. I let it set for 20+ mins, as always. It almost dried down, left a radiant finish (not oily, truly!) And formed a very grippy base for my foundation. It seemed to really work like a primer, preventing my foundation from settling into lines. Halfway through the day I reapplied. It went on fine, slightly greasier than before, but I honestly couldnt feel it on my face. The foundation also settled with it. I wouldnt go to a formal ball in it after reapplication, but for a day off/work day/shopping/hiking day on holiday, it doesnt look weird at all.It irritated my eyes, only slightly, when a bit migrated in, but honestly Ive had much worse.Ill check back in if it breaks me out or something weird comes up, but so far Im totally impressed.I wanted to post this because the protection of the P20 kids is insanely high, and I dont want potential users to be totally put off by all the reviews of its greasiness. I didnt find it so! Maybe they have tweaked the formula? I honestly couldnt recognise it from the reviews.I paid 20 euro for 200 ml. For my face it will last a while. Perhaps 3.5 months? For use on the body for outdoors work or a long outdoors holiday, you will go through it quite quickly. For reference, my other favourite sunscreens (were) keep cool, purito, klairs, hygee, (and now are): isehan kiss me mommy, skin aqua moisture milk, canmake mermaid skin gel. (So Im used to sunscreens with an elegant formula!)Definitely worth a try if you need hardcore protection!

[PSA] Olena Beley “skin coach” aka not a professional in any sense.

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I cannot believe this woman would have such audacity to not only discredit other methods implemented or recommended by doctors/professionals, but say what she feels is BS by NO expertise of her own. I’m seeing people giving HUNDREDS over to her, when the first step in her “Real Recipe for Clear Skin” is “100% sweet self-love.” And then according to her, it’s “75% smart skincare.” How does that even make sense?! Lol. So..To All, she’s right on one point. LOVE YOURSELVES!!! But do not spend hundreds. You don’t need to spend a single penny to love yourself!! Save your money, go see a professional, and take their guidance. If you don’t like what they have to say, seek a second opinion. Seek however many opinions you need until you are comfortable and seeing progress! Just please, do not give your money over to this complete money-grubber or anyone like her willing to take advantage of others seeking real help.

[Product Question] Winlevi: New Prescription Acne Cream... Are Samples Available Yet?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Winlevi is a new acne cream that got approved in August 2020. It was supposed to come out last month (March 2021) but got delayed for whatever reason. When I emailed the company, they said release is now expected for mid-2021. I am just wondering if anyone has had luck getting a few samples from their dermatologist? I am assuming the company would provide samples, but I am just not sure if they would gives doctors samples before it is fully released. The only reason why I am hyper excited over this cream is because I am the "perfect candidate" for it. I have hormonal acne (that only occurs on my jaw/chin) and while my current regime helps, it does not give me fully clear skin. This honestly sounds like a miracle cream for my specific acne.

[Routine Help] What can I / can’t I use after applying tanning drops to my face?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
OK let me start off by saying.. I’m a total newbie to skincare (& sunless tanning) !!I’m ashamed to say I’m nearly 30 years old & have only now this year started to actually take care of myself / practice skincare (& self love!) ♡Yesterday I tried Isle of Paradise Face & Body Self Tanning Drops (Medium) for the first time on my face.. & O-M-G! What an AMAZING, natural glow they gave me!!! I could have cried happy tears this morning when I saw how glowy & even-toned my face was!! I’ve suffered from Hyperpigmentation splotches on my face after both my pregnancies that made me extremely self-conscious (& is what me got me interested in skin care in the first place..) so when I woke up to see the drops had truly color-corrected (like they advertise) to the dark tones in my face.. I was astonished! I absolutely want to keep this glow-up... up! But nowww... I’m scared I’ll mess up the whole tan with other parts of my skin routine, (mostly worried about the micellar water + exfoliant). My skincare routine, beginning-to-end, is as follows:• 1) Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water** (makeup removal) • 2) Dermalogica Precleanse (oil) • 3) Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel • 4) Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant** • 5) Sunday Riley A+ High-Dose Retinoid Serum • 6) Sunday Riley Luna Retinol Sleeping Night Oil • 7) Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream -OR- Belief The True Cream Aqua Bomb** = products I’ve read may mess up my tan.... out of my whole routine, my traditional “non-negotiables” have always been the Micellar Water, Daily Exfoliant, and moisturizer:I have combination skin; my trouble spots being serious dry patches on my T-zone & temples. The Micellar Water has been the only thing I can find that takes off the majority of my makeup (which I wear a fair amount of - I’m a bit of a Cakeface) & In addition, the Daily Exfoliant has been the only way I’ve discovered to slough off all the day’s nastiness, buildup, and dry skin..Can someone please help me / let me know what products I’m using that could indeed blotch up or erase my tan? If I have to nix the Micellar water and/or Daily Exfoliating.. how do the “sunless tanner’s” navigate these same issues? Are there other, better products I should be using? Tips or tricks I’m not aware of?Thank You SO much for reading my Novel of a query, I appreciate you all more than you could imagine!! I’m open to any & all advice or critiques of my current regimen, also!
